Itinerary

Our representative will receive you at the Cochin International Airport / Railway station / Bus Stand and will escort you to the vehicle reserved for your trip & proceed to Munnar.

Enroute visit Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls is among the best trekking locations in Idukki district. There is a dense growth of trees all around and several rare species of plants and animals can be seen in the vicinity. The Cheeyappara Waterfalls gush down in seven tiers and area truly spectacular sight to behold. Valara waterfalls are known for the lush greenery surrounding it and is a lovely picnic location.

Later reach Munnar, check in to Hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, spend the day in local Munnar sightseeing. Munnar drives its name from the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale.

Mattupetty dam is located 13 km away from Munnar. Its reservoir is an idyllic place to enjoy the serene nature. It is also said to be one of the waterholes where the elephants in the region often visit. This wide expanse of serene water, shining as it reflects the rays of the sun will take your breath away. Become a part of this glittering panorama when you venture on a boat on these waters. Boating here is a pleasant activity indeed. (NOTE: Boating is at extra cost, to be paid direct by the customer / Visiting Hours - 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM / Photography not allowed).

Echo Point is named so, owing to natural echoes that one can clearly make and hear resonating in these acres of lush greenery. One can choose a silent, contemplative hike up the mountains or choose to scream and hear their voices being echoed till far out and wide.

Kundala Lake is situated at a height of 1700 meters above sea level. The thing for which the lake is famous for are the very unique and rare Neela Kurunji flowers which blossoms only once in twelve years. There is also Kundala dam here, which is the first arched dam in the whole Asian continent. The whole area of the lake gives you the feel of experiencing heaven like adventure. Kundala Lake provides the opportunity to tourists to hire Shikara, pedal boats and row boats to enjoy . It is like the icing on the cake because it gives you the chance to enjoy the beauty of the lake from a close look. (NOTE: Boating and other activities are at extra cost, to be paid direct by the customer )

Attukad Waterfalls lies between Pallivasal and Munnar. Attukad waterfalls is a perfect mixture of rocks and greenery. Attukad Waterfalls is at a distance of 9 kilometers from Munnar and is visible from a distance from the road. Water seems to be falling like threads of pearls from a height. Age is not a bar to visit this place as it has something to offer for all. This captivating attraction is surrounded by dark jungle and lush green terrains, reachable only through wooden bridge.

Pothamedu View Point is Located around 6 km away from Munnar on NH 49, the Pothamedu Viewpoint is set amidst tea and coffee plantations and undulating hills. The vantage point offers a panoramic view of Munnar and adjoining valleys. It is a popular spot among trekkers, hikers and nature lovers for its pleasing scenic environs. If the atmosphere is clear, one can catch a glimpse of the Muthirapuzha River and Idukki Arch Dam, which is around 60 km away from Munnar.

The Blossom International Park is located at a distance of around 3 km from the main town, Blossom International Park is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Munnar. Spread in well-maintained lush area of 16 acres, it is quite close to Pallivasal Hydro Electric Project. The park is popular as a picnic spot and is home to tall trees and several rate flowering plant species

Later return to the Hotel, overnight stay at the Munnar Hotel.

After breakfast check out from Munnar Hotel & proceed to Thekkady. Drive through one of the most picturesque hill highways of Kerala. Thekkedy, also known as periyar is a world famous wildlife sanctuary and one of the 48 Tiger Reserves in India .

On arrival check in to the Hotel & later proceed for local sightseeing visiting:

Boat Ride at Periyar lake offers some of the best wildlife sighting where one can have a unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar, however are the herds of wild elephants that come down to play in the lake (Wild life viewing is always dependent on one's good fortune) (Note: Activities like bamboo rafting & Boating are at extra cost need to be paid by the guest directly)

Visit to Spice Plantations can be arranged followed by Elephant ride. (Entree fee to plantation & Elephant ride fee are at extra cost need to be paid by the customer on direct payment basis)

Later return to the Hotel, evening at leisure (shopping at local market or clutural activities can be opted in the evening at extra cost ).

Overnight stay at Thekkady Hotel.

Morning, after breakfast check out from the Houseboat & proceed for onward journey back home, feeling contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the “God’s Own Country.

After breakfast check out from the Hotel & proceed towards Alleppey known as the ‘Venice of the East’. Alleppey is well known for backwaters and Houseboats.

On reaching check in to the Houseboat, enjoy lunch & dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the Houseboat.
